How it Works
In contrast to Holter Monitors, the Heart Health Monitor does not record continuously. Instead, it records data from a patient's heart for approximately 40 seconds. When the patient experiences a symptom of concern, they simply press the start button on the Heart Health Monitor to begin the recording. Results can easily be transmitted by cellular phone to their physician or uploaded onto their computer via USB and emailed to their physician for interpretation. One major advantage of the Heart Health Monitor is that it can be used by anyone who experiences intermittent symptoms quickly and easily in the comfort of their own home.
The Heart Health Monitor is a non-prescription, non-invasive, portable EKG device that was developed to empower individuals with a personal Heart Health Management approach. The device offers numerous benefits compared to traditional EKG machines, empowering patients to frequently observe their heart from the comfort of their home. This compares to traditional EKG monitoring which is performed by physicians every other year.
How the Heart Health Monitor Works
The Heart Health Monitor simply straps around the wrist. The user presses the start button and the wrist band inflates to apply pressure against critical veins. Within 60 seconds, the monitor gives users a Heart Health Index (HHI) reading, informing users about their heart’s condition.
The HHI is an innovative index to indicate the status of each user’s heart. There are four interpretations of the HHI, each representing different stages of the user’s heart health. With the simple color scheme the index makes it easy for every user to review their heart’s status anytime, anywhere. The HHI enables users to quickly determine if they require the consultation of a physician.
The Heart Health Monitor’s breakthrough technology operates on two standard AAA batteries, displaying results on a color LCD screen. The Heart Health Monitor can record up to 11 hours of continuous EKG readings or remain on standby for up to two years. The device has enough memory to store up to 2,000 seconds of EKG readings (50 sets of 40 second EKG data).
